Maxtrax for the win if stuck in a sand.

Even with a winch, what would you tie it to in a wash?

Bury your spare tire for an anchor or they sell anchors designed for winching where there isn't anything to tie off too

Definitely carry a shovel, a small compressor and maybe some traction boards. But without a doubt, a shovel. You can always drive really slow on under inflated tires, but when your rig is belly pan deep in sand, your going to need to dig out.

Also, if you have a tow package, a hitch mounted shackle and 7/8" Kinetic rope. That way if and when you do get stuck, and we've all been there, you can be ready for when someone comes along. It all fits into a small gym bag. Its way easier to ask for help when you've got the rope and shackle in place and just need another truck to tie on to.

Maxtrax for $180? I think that might be one traction board. I have Actiontrax, basically same but American based company. Worked very well after high centered in snow from my experience.

Also very easy to open up the 88P and install a regular air hose onto the fitting. I did that, then connect it to a small manifold setup with a 50psi gage, 2x hoses, and a ball valve. Let’s me fill or deflate 2 tires at a time.

Maxtrax actually retails for $240. The TRED brand are $180 ... or I could use 2x4s and apply grippy traction tape.

Read about the buried tire trick, and the article also mention the stem of a hi-lift (disassembled) makes a good stake-in-the-ground. These washes were pretty bare of substantial trees.

Kinetic rope (or the strap I have) ... but I will wait on that.

I will keep the 88P modification in mind. I may circle back for details later.

Four-wheel groups here should be my next move ... become educated.
