    The issue is the TCC curves on those breakers are usually very hit or miss from what I have read. Maybe a higher end one like BlueSea will do better, but still its not a great solution IMO. The last thing you want during a long heavy pull is the breaker to trip out on you. And on the other end of the spectrum, a small intermittent fault (think sheet metal) probably will not clear. At the end of the day this isnt going to be utility scale fault currents.

    Just my semi educated option, never actually seen winch wiring fail luckily
