This highway, right here, gave me the worst mileage I have ever seen in the Tacoma. Normally when I pull the camper at 70 I can get a decent 15mpg.

This Satan's hot-ass sand shower gave me 7.2, at 60 mph. Oh, and right when I summited Tecate Divide, where the headwind spooled up to a screaming 50 mph plus and the temperature was dropping to low 40s, (and milage on that small hill was dropping into the 5s) that was when my dog decided she couldn't wait any longer and shit the backseat. That was a miserable day of driving.

Screw that highway and its miserable wind.

And he never updated on what happened on the second date! That guy wins the shitty story for sure. At least mine was confined to the hammock covering the backseat. I was able to take it out and hose it at whatever campsite we stopped at that evening.

Some crafty fab work...and you'll be set. In all seriousness, we have some pretty crappy wind in NM, which murders mpg.

I haven't experienced bad wind in my Tacoma that I can recall. But I did experience some serious wind driving across southern Alberta 2 years ago in our 24 foot Motorhome. The tires were scrubbing just to keep it in our lane when crossing. And mileage isn't worth calculating with a 460 and a C6 under the hood.

Mileage isn't worth calculating with a 460 anyway...even with a good tail wind. Great motor though!
