Try driving a 91 Volvo 740 with a 2.5” lift and 205/75/15 grabber at2’s, with a vintage Thule box on the roof. Talk about all over the road...

Anyone who feels they're starting to lose grip is welcome to take a ride in my passenger seat. I'll even teach you how to use the window crank.

Volvo's used to be so badass. I learned to drive in an 82 wagon that made a screaming 98hp from the factory. And weighed 1000lb more than my taco

Also, don’t forget to align after the 6112 upgrade.

Only if you change ride height do you need another alignment, unless you own a front end shop and then by all means align it when you change air preasure.

this one had 114 from the factory, but guys who have dyno’d stock ones are realistically getting about 85 lol
Mine has 850 turbo fuel injectors in it, which make a negligible difference, and it’s manual swapped but the rear end hasn’t been re-geared so she’s got some scoot off the line but no top end. Talking 35-3700 RPM to hold 75ish in O/D. 3400 pounds stock, but I have a partially gutted interior and a/c delete, so I’m guessing right around 3250. 300+K miles and still runs like a champ!
    PV’s are rad little cars

No wonder those engines last so long. Ours had the 4spd manual with an external OD unit. It really wasnt all that bad, especially if you turned off the AC and redlined it. And it was spacious.

M46 FTW! That’s the same trans I swapped into mine when the original auto quit, I’ve been digging it. I wired mine so that O/D can be used in all 4 gears, though it’s never been needed other than in 4th. The b230s have forged internals and have been known to handle 20 pounds of boost, stock, they really are bulletproof engines.

That's basically the exact Volvo! And it was a fantastic road trip car.

I'd believe it. The head cracked somewhere around 250k mi and we got a good look at the cylinders. Perfect crosshatch marks still on the walls and it burned zero oil. Didn't some of them have factory turbos?

But it leaked plenty. I used to leave myself notes in the grease underneath
