First post, had to make this because I'm not allowed to reply in a thread yet.

I'm looking at buying a new Tacoma, and I was thinking of going automatic for a change, but after hearing about the transmission issues and higher gear ratio I think I'll be sticking with manual. Cheaper and better resale value too, whats not to like?

Anyways, I'm a huge Access Cab kinda guy, I like having the bigger bed as opposed to the extra set of doors that will hardly be used. The Manual AC in Canada is the Off Road base and is a very good deal in comparison other models.

But.... that Wind Chill Pearl looks so nice. In Canada outside of the Limited Nightshade model, it's only an option for the base MT DCSB. Which has the manual I'm looking for, but man I'm not sure I can do it for the DC setup.

I've never bought a new car before, is it possible for me to negotiate getting Wind Chill Pearl for the Access Cab, or am I basically SOL?

You can get wind chill pearl with an access cab. Wind Chill Pearl is only available with the TRD Sport and Limited Nightshade Edition

I guess we'll have to wait and see when it starts production. Also, since wind chill pearl is a special color, it would cost you more to purchase that color on the tacoma.

That's for the US. Canada the only option is the Limited Nightshade, or the base manual double cab. Odd that is only for the Base, if you opt for the Pro (the only trim option) you cannot get it

Look at the double cab as more dry storage room. That has to be a good thing in Canada, right?

Haha true, although I'd argue the access cab is better for storage! Plus a TC or Canopy is almost a must up here if you need extra dry storage
