I actually noticed this Tuesday while driving to work. My passenger had shut both vents on their side, unbeknownst to me, and I was blown away with how badly the wind noise inside the cab was. I realized both vents were closed, at which point I opened up the one that I could reach and turned the fan down from 3 to 2 and the noise reduced by probably 70-80%.

I had a slight whistle at 60 on the driver side. Dealer reset the door and window trim...resolved.

I have the same noise at around 50-65mph. Thought it was the factory roof rack but now not so sure. It's beginning to get annoying.

Another name to add to the list. My dealer says it's because the box is narrower than the cab???? They realize it is a problem but have no f-in clue what to do to fix it.

I've noticed that if my driver left dash vent is slightly closed, I can get a wind noise from that area. To me, it sounds like i left the window cracked a bit. If I open the vent up, the sound disappears immediately. I typically notice it on a on ramp when I get above 50 mph, anytime before that and I never notice it.

I noticed that as my speed increases, the amount of air coming through the vent increases even if the fan setting is set the same. It has to be vent turbulence issue when its partially closed.

I have this issue too. It only happens when I'm on the freeway going above 60+. It feels like my driver side window is slightly open and creates a hissing sound. I've looked at the trims around both driver side windows and I've noticed it being a little loose and I've pressed down along the window pane but it's still making the same noise. If it continues to happen I'm sending it to the dealer.

I had a similar noise to this that I only noticed on my first long road trip in the truck. It was coming from both F/L and F/R doors, and sounded very similar to someone crinkling a plastic grocery bag by my ear. Definitely wind noise, but at the time I was not sure if it was coming from the window, door, or roof.

After playing around with the windows and rolling them down and then all the way back up it did not seem to make any difference at all. After about 30 mins of listening to this and thinking about what it could be from (I assumed it was due to some kind of cavitation or air flow disruption caused by my window visors) I decided to ever so slightly roll down the offending windows by pecking at the button.

Sure enough, rolling the window down the slightest amount I possibly could caused the sound to stop on both sides. Not really "opening" the window, just moving the glass down maybe 1/8th of an inch was enough to either complete the seal or take pressure off of something. Didn't notice the HVAC having any influence on the noise but I really didn't think that was a possible culprit at the time.

I'm thinking a mass telephone blitz to the Toyota Customer Experience phone line might be in order.....
