Why are Tacomas so poorly made? lol this is a 2023 I just got in December and I know I’m not the only one who experiences bad wind noise when driving in high speeds but randomly I started getting this annoying whistling noise on my passenger side. I decided to tape where I circled in the photo and it helped, like 80% of the noise disappeared. Anyone know of a permanent solution or should I just have the dealership fix the issue?

Take it in, defects happen, I wouldn’t write the whole thing off.

I had the same issue and isolated it after testing a few spots with tape as you did. I ended up doing this and it’s fixed. Probably could’ve been a lot less sloppy and maybe even isolated it a bit more but the only way to see it is to view it at a specific angle from the front of the truck. The picture was taken while leaning against the hood and looking toward the rear of the truck. I used some black butyl.

That was the spot that fixed it on mine. I used black silicone, but I was much neater lol. Still holding up seven years later.
