I got this bearing race install kit today from princess auto and side bearings the outer pinion bearing race it'll work but for the inside pinion bearing race nothing fits so I guess I got to make up an installer or just hit it with some punches

I've put the inner pinion bearing race in my freezer and in a day or so we'll see how much shrinkage a home freezer can shrink a bearing race. And I just took some measurements today to see where my beginning point with all this stuff is

Also de-bird the pinion shim and flattened out the side bearing shims

Also hogged out the old pinion bearings a bit to where it's a snug fit on the pinion.

the diff has only set up bearings in it at this point.
    things to get or make
    1. pinion bearing race installer make (done)
    2. lever type dial indicator for ring gear back lash (received)
2.5 lol. solid pinion spacer (on order )
3.pinion bearing installer for press (done)
    4. tool to hold pinion flange while torquing nut (have to make)
    5. needle type in/lb torque wrench for preload check (received )

:):):) its all fun and games till it becomes cheaper for an expert to do it, which is fastly approaching but I can just see it now

    on the trail
    " nice diff bro" thanks
what's the backlash on that... pardon...
    lol.
