So i got some seat time with the 529's and this is how my truck behaves now.
everything is just what is see happening and not super accurate but the best that i can see the dash guages

when highway rpm is 2500-2550 the speedo says 80kph but reality is 90kph
when highway rpm is 2600 -2700 the speedo says 87kph but reality is 100kph

the truck dose not care about hills anymore, no more down shifts from 6 to 5 and sometimes 4 depends on the hills, it just motors up the hills, the rpm barley drops.

I'm ran the trails now in 4hi 1st gear except when is gets a bit hard then its 4lo 1st gear muddy hill climbs are 4lo 2nd gear

    now for the down side
    1. higher rpm
    2. the truck is running hotter ( I'll have to check the rad)
    3. more noise from the exhaust
    4. in the city I'm shifting so much my left leg is aching

but over all if i can get use to reving my truck like a tuner car it will be ok.

BTW I'm used to driving this truck around below 2000 rpm even on highway. so it will take some getting use too..

had a couple of hours to adress a "short guy problem". Well the problem is the rtt in now on a slightly taller cap and I usually take the side door off to deploy/store it. Which I don't think its a good fix long term. So I'm going to try this makeshift ledge to stand on. Yes more "stuff" to bring along with me. :)

I might have to hit you up for your rear disc brake calipers and brackets to see if they will fit in mine before I go and buy some.

Thanks for taking the time to look through the thread. The microwave was in preparation for an Alaska adventure. It has not materialized as of yet so its out of the truck for now.

And I think that is pretty much done for axle stands. Now I have to get the axles...

I'll be updating this particular post with all necessities for the axle swap just to keep track of what the whole thing is going to take and cost. Hopefully I can keep it as detailed as possible.

    1. rolling axle stands ( repurposed bed rack to make them) so no cost for steel
    2. $80 worth of hd casters (8)
    3. 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma Front Frame Reinforcement Plate Pair SKU: AP-306725 ordered
    4. IFS Steering Box Mount Kit SKU: 130004-1-KIT ordered
    BLT*TRAIL-GEAR INC $328.27
    for 3. and 4. cnd.with shipping

Cancelled frame plates and steering box mount due to mail strike

    Axle tube diameter 14 bolt = 3 3/8
    Axle tube diameter D60 = 3 1/8

    My thoughts exactly!

@Windigo where did you get the frame plates from? Martec?
