Windigo build thread

Engine hoist is a must have. When I pulled my axles it was the only way to move them around when fully assembled.

 

Don't I know it. I have a princess auto cheepie works for me. Hopefully next week I can start to strip the rear and inspect everything.

 

Most of that kind of stuff I have is from Princess. I mean what’s there to an engine hoist or for that matter engine stands or dollies. Jack stands are the same. Just look it over before you buy. I’ve never had a fail yet.

 

Mines from crappy tire. They are all the same.

I have to do new rear wheel bearings on the taco and part of me wants to do the 14 bolt but $600 for new bearings compared to building the 14 bolt is much less

 

Agreed plus wrong time of year to be wrenching in the driveway.

 

Packed up for now. Nice and cozy.

 

I’m likely going to spring for the whole shabang bc I want to get that True Track in but now I’m contemplating a regear. Nonetheless I’m waitin’ til spring.

 

Yeah I know. But it’s the time of the year I am not off-roading lol

 

Got the brackets off today. Needs some welding for the gouges when time permits

Taking advantage of our last 5° day in Toronto for a while. Washing the 14 bolt before disassembly.

 

Making those stands sure makes a difference.

 

Yes sir it sure is nice to move them around easily.

Are you doing leafs still upfront? Also with the passenger drop what tcase are you going with?
