Window Cranks

Ok I am kind of embarrassed that I can't figure this out. When I installed new speakers one of the things I had to do was take the manual window cranks off. The instructions were very good about how to get them off, but said nothing about getting them back on.

Now I can't figure it out haha. There is a white plastic piece that goes under the crank and then a "C Clip" (i think it is called) that holds it all together. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the clip back on.

While we are on the topic, anyone know how to get the plastic seat belt bolt cover back on haha

If it's anything like the first gens you should be able to put the c-clip on the crank before you put the crank back on. Should be some little grooves on the crank, put the c-clip on there. Make sure your crank is where you want it and push it on.

That pic is actually showing the clip in backwards. There should be a small nib to keep the clip from slipping further into the recess.

 

He's right! It's backwards, but fixable. Quickly. Be back in 5, if I have to do both.

What's a window crank? Do they still make those?

 

It actually a luxury feature that very special owners opt to get. It allows full control of the window after the car is powered off unlike the stubborn electric window controls

 

It is a very hard to get option on one of these trucks.

 

It's what's in a real truck. Not one of them wussfied, overembelished car wannabe's.

 

Can you do it with the door open???
