Checkout my original post on this thread. I posted a video of going through the carwash. The soap bubbles like crazy from my climate control fans.

I checked the DS and PS on mine and it looks about the same. Picture attached of the PS window seal9(s). The first picture is of the seal nearest to the exterior door handle while the second picture is near the side view mirror.

As for replacing it? I'd do it just so I wouldn't have to take everything apart again.

I had some Weather Tech in channel deflectors. I didn’t have any wind noise until I broke one and pulled it out. I would stuff the Weather Techs in and see if it tightens up first before I redid the seal. Just my .02

Hey, so i actually started doing this job, but quit halfway through. What I discovered is that the design of the seals on the window/door are so poor that it wasn't worth changing the window seal.

    Here's some examples:

When I took the door panel off the driver door, I noticed this gap. Here's me sticking a tywrap through from the outside:

And here it is on the inside of the door panel:

So there is constantly air coming in the vehicle from outside. The only thing stopping this from coming in the cabin is this cheesy weatherstripping on the inside of the door panel:

These seals have way too many gaps in them. I returned my window seals after eating a hefty restocking fee (ordered online). I decided there is no point in trying to re-engineer Toyota's poor job of sealing the cabin from wind noise.

I took a new Canyon AT4 for a test drive and the lack of cabin noise was impressive. It was very quiet on the highway. After 5 years of being annoyed with my trucks cabin noise, I decided to order a new vehicle. Good luck with yours. Update this thread if you figure anything out!

Thanks for the response and pics, good luck with the canyon. They definitely feel like a more solid interior build.

Thanks. We'll see how it goes. I've never owned a domestic before. I'm not expecting it to be as reliable as the Toyota, but I'm hoping it works out. 430 lb-ft of torque sure feels nice.
