It must be personal opinion because that thing is sweet! I'd be trying to convince myself of that too if I had just bought a 2015.

I don't think he needs convincing. He likes his 2015 better, as I like my 2010 better.

But why pay filet prices for ground chuck? It's a gawd damn Tacoma, that gets "ok" fuel mileage...and can't really haul...well anything.

I wonder what the results would be if Chuck Norris delivered a roundhouse kick to the grill:confused:

Which is why I'm really not complaining that my "build" might take 4-6 months. That is more than enough time for the supply to catch up and for proper price discovery to have happened. I'm glad the local dealers prevented me from being fleeced with early adopter syndrome. Something I've been guilty of more than once.

Thought they were pushing prices a little high (and into fullsize territory) with the 2nd Gen...but now, geesh! People will make excuses for it though...but hey, it has buzzy car engine that you have to strangle to get any power out of it, that gets less than stellar mileage...and at least the payload is 950 lbs!....errr wait a minute...why is my bunghole sore...did I even get kissed?

I bought my 2003 TRD 4x4 offroad excab v6 5spd with power doors and locks...super white with beige(tan?) interior brand new in October 2003....2004s were then on the lot so that helped with price I paid...out the door $22,600. Sold 8 years later in excellent condition with 75k miles on it for 15k. Wish I never got rid of it but was tired of driving stick in Los Angeles where I was stationed at the time.

I heard they even make you pay for the pillow that you're going to bite on....and what does going in "dry" mean? Read it in the fine print in the brochure...

the sticker on my '14 Access cab TRD/OR was almost $33k. Leaving off the tech pkge(who needs it?) and the extra dealer b.s., looks like most TRD's will sticker around $33k-35k, which isn't too bad. I like the '16, but as always, I won't pay "msrp" for any new vehicle. If I needed a new truck(which I don't), I'd just wait/shop for the right deal....

I like the look of the new truck. My big issue is the engine performance. Feels like a dog for very little gain in MPGs. Took the offroad on a back lot wash area behind AutoNation Tempe AZ. It rides much better than my 2003 Ranger XLT 4x4 4.0L that I use for hunting trips but the motor feels much weaker than my Ranger which is just crazy to think because my Ranger has 265/75R16 and is 12 years old with 140k miles??? The suspension on my Ranger is about shot...still stock...planned to upgrade suspension a little when it breaks since its my beater. I dunno man 35k for this truck just seems too high then I'd also be afraid to scratch it :)

p.s. the Ranger is thirsty at about 18mpg but I'd almost rather have the power over economy

I was just laughing at all of that bullshit on the right side of the window sticker. You don't even need a security system anymore.

Man glad I went with the 2015 and did not hold out for the 2016. I got mine 6 month ago for nearly $6000 less.001.jpg 002.jpg
