Window Tint Laws By State - How Have You Tinted Your Windows?

Virginia is a pain, that’s why I haven’t done it yet because I don’t know if I would even be able to tell.

 

Virginia wrote me a 97 dollar ticket for tint, of course they target ky tags so i avoid the entire state when possible.

 

Don’t feel bad, they go out of their way to screw the people who live here too!!

 

Having my fronts tinted 20% to match the rear as I type.. NYS.

 

Indiana does not appear to enforce the law. I can't see most drivers. I don't tint mine as I don't need an officer at my door.

 

30% up front, Limo Rears per my dogs request ;-)

Cell phone ticket in California = $175

Tinting your windows so they can’t see you on you on the phone ....

 

It’s hard to go illegal in Louisiana. We have to get inspection stickers and if your tent is illegal it hard to get one. A cop hangs out on the side of the road on my way home from work, strictly looking for expired stickers. Traffics horrible, moving at 5 mph. He always has someone pulled over. They don’t pull over for the tent, but the sticker.

I matched the tint to the back on my front windows which is illegal in PA. 1.5 years and no issues so far with police.... knock on wood
