Looks so good, might have to go this route.

I haven’t gotten hassled but once in my old F150 with the exact same tint, by a state trooper in the small town I grew up in. Little more attention grabbing than my taco though lol

I "personally" wouldn't go any darker than 50% on the windshield if you plan on going that route. Inside the vehicle it doesn't look any different than if it weren't tented at all. But if you tint the rest of the windows at 5% then from the outside of the vehicle the windshield will look almost as dark as your 5% windows. Just remember.... tinting the full windshield is illegal as fuck so do it at your own risk. I do all of mine that way and if a LEO pulls me over and I get a ticket I won't complain because I knew what I was doing was wrong but I did it anyway. So it's a risk / reward for me. The reward is I love how it looks. The risk is I'm just begging for a ticket.

Something else to think about if you do have dark windows all around is from a LEO's perspective. They are walking up to a vehicle and they can't see inside. My recommendation (and what I do) is to roll down all of your windows and just keep your hands on the steering wheel until instructed to do otherwise. That way it puts the LEO a little more at ease and they can see into your entire vehicle. Being cooperative goes a long way even if you don't think the reason you were stopped was valid. If they give you a ticket for illegal tint then you most likely knew it was coming sooner or later anyway. Just the way I see it.

No, yeah I agree with everything you said. I'm well aware that its a risk I'm taking if I decide to do it, and wont be surprised/upset if i get a ticket. Just looks so damn sexy...

A truck looking sexy will be the last of your concerns if you can't see at night and hit something you don't want to.

I've never had one bit of trouble with seeing out even with 5% on all my windows at night. Of course I live in the city so that makes a difference. Thing is... if you're that concerned in a dark place and trying to park just roll the window down. As far as the windshield goes... if you go with 50% it doesn't make any difference at all.

Statements like this proves you’ve never been in a vehicle that has windshield tint and that you’re just talking out your ass.

I've been in a vehicle before with super dark windows, it seriously limits your ability to see at night. My truck is 20 on the sides. 20 matches the rear on the outside. Smoked glass is way easier to see out of at 20 percent than tinted 20 percent.

Putting 5 percent all around and tinting the windshield is dangerous in my opinion. But it seems like you've got everything all figured out.

Again... 5% all the way around is a non issue and 50% on the windshield looks exactly like it does looking out a clear windshield from the inside. I would agree that anything lower than 50% on the windshield would start to hamper your visibility at night in dark areas.

But not a tinted windshield? Again... it’s not dangerous unless you have an eye condition that hinders your ability to see in lower light conditions.

I have two reasons for tinting my window like this.

1: I love how it looks

2: I don't want anyone seeing inside my vehicles

That's a misleading statement. Here's a picture of my truck, rear windows factory let's say 20 percent smoke. Front windows 20 percent tint. It's darker at noon on a clear day.

Ummm.... have you seen how dark 50% is? It's damn near clear. You're equating 20% to 50% and they aren't even close. Yes I agree that 5% is much darker even in the daytime but that's what "I" want. But I have no issue with seeing out of it at 5% even at night. But again, I live in a city that is well lit. In darker areas it is darker but not so much that I still can see out. 20% "to me" isn't worth putting on for the reasons I listed above. In the end it's your vehicle and if you are happy with your choice is all that matters. I'll keep putting 5% on mine and 50% on the windshield.

*EDIT* And of course it's supposed to be darker at noon with tint. That's why you put it on? I have no trouble making out anything outside your truck just like I wouldn't have any trouble making out anything out of mine with 5%

If it's completely clear as you say, roll your window down and take a picture with the windshield and the open window in view. I'd be curious to see if they match. I'll back off if it does. If not, I think people should be aware that visibility at night is limited.

70% is actually clear but blocks the UV. Limo is not to the point where you can’t look through. If you want that do what I have. 20 up front because 5 is illegal here, the factory darker glass with 2 layers of limo. You can stick a flashlight in my back windows at night and can barley get a glimpse in if your right up against it

20% on the windshield and 5% on the sides, 5 over 20 on the back. It wasn’t bad.

That's pretty damn dark. How do you see at night?

I've had 5% before and 55% on the windshield, but it was a bit much. I stick to 15-20% on the windows now and 70% on the windshield.

That is a good indication of what you can expect VVV. Mine is 50% so even lighter.

I guess it all boils down to opinion. I'd say that's way too dark.
