That doesn't look bad at all! Anything of note with this setup? Any things you don't like, etc?

I’m perfectly good with it. I had this same set up on another truck of mine also. I work until midnight most nights so I do a lot of night driving. It’s a happy medium for me and it keeps my black Australian Shepards cooler when they ride along.

The '18s have some sort of camera/sensor in front, you have an '18 right? The installers had no problems I'm assuming...

No problems. The main sensor is in the grill. Not sure what the little one under the rear view mirror could be other than just a light sensor to auto dim the monitor.

I kind of like the 2nd cab and rear the way they are. Has anyone left hem alone and just done front cab to match?

CXP 45 on the front doors, CXP 5 over the factory dyed glass and CIR 70 on the full windshield...since this was taken the CXP 5 was replaced with CXP 45. it was way too hard to see out of at night and I drive a lot at night traveling to and from mtb races. IMG_4301.jpg

In Ca only the rears can be as dark as you want, the fronts I believe can’t be darker tan 70% according to the law but plenty of people roll the dice (myself included) usually 20% and you’ll be alright, but limo is “asking for a ticket” but I prefer the look and do it knowing it’s my own fault if I get cited. Don’t wanna jinx myself but so far the law enforcement hasn’t been bothered by it

don't do windshield too dark! also keep in mind when you tint windshield, side windows will look darker as well because less light is coming thought the windshield!

The front camera is for lane change and pre-collision. It can see the lines in the road and brake lights ahead of you.

Good thread to come across for me right now! Looks like my mind has been made up and I'll be doing with 5% in the rear windows and 20% in the fronts, and leaving the windshield untouched. Glad I was able to get some visual evidence of what that will ultimately look like. Thanks again Search function

For peoples reference here is 35 front with 55 rear over the factory “tint”. Only wanted to add the UV/Heat protection on the rear without making them much darker. Blend is good for what I wanted. I got LLumar ATR film, no issues with it blocking radio or cell signal.

Went with 20% in the front and factory "tint" (for now) in the back. Will make the rear darker in the future but if you want to "match", then 20% is the sweet spot. 35% would be too light in my opinion.

Resurrecting this thread because I didn't see many examples of 35% front with windshield strip instead of full windshield tint.
Just got this done recently & replaced my faded Gila/DIY tint that looked like shit after 5+ years.

    Windshield strip: 20%
    Front windows: 35%
Back windows & rear window: 20% over factory
