Edge, do you have a less close-up side view? I'm thinking about 35% on my front windows and it's hard to tell how dark it looks compared to the rears in the close-up shot.

I'll try to get one for you tommorw at lunch time. Its diffently not a match. If I had it to do again I would get 20% but that was before I had the 70% on the front.

For Those Of You Who Tinted To Match The Back.... Is There A Noticeable Difference From The Inside Of The Truck? As In From The Inside Do The Backs Look Darker Than Front?

GA law lets you "black out" rear windows and back windshields on trucks only. Legal limit on Driver/Passanger window is 35%, and you can't touch the windshield at all. I've got 18% all around and 50% on windshield however. (Here's some different angle shots)

Looks like our trucks might qualify as "multipurpose passenger vehicles."

Take a look at Ga. Code § 40-8-73.1 for the complete rules. The link below is a summary of the rules from the DPS.

thats what i've got too and i love it... sometimes at night if there's no streetlights around i roll down my windows to see a little better when i back into spots and stuff but it doesn't bother me, and i love the 50% on the windshield- definitely helps here in AZ and i can see out fine at night.

my buddy has like 5% on his windows and when he gets pulled over he just rolls down both windows so unless the cop is pulling you over for the tint they may not notice...

as mentioned earlier in the thread the stock privacy glass is around 20% so if you wanted to go lighter then you'd probably want somewhere between 35%-90% depending on the tint manufacturer. 35% is legal in most states, but you should always look up your local laws.

I just got my windows tinted a few weeks ago. They measured the rear side windows at 22% so I just had them match it. It cost about $80 too. The legal limit in NY is 70% on the front side windows, no tint on the windshield, and rear side windows and rear window can be as dark as you want. The way the cops measure it is with the tint meter which basically fits over the window glass and shines a laser or light through the window to measure it on the other side. In NY a tint ticket will cost you about a $35 fine and $30 surcharge. So almost the cost of the tint itself. They make the front side windows/ windshields illegal to have dark tint due to safety concerns of police who cannot see what you're doing inside as they approach.

100% would mean NO TINT = 100% of light can pass through the glass
0% would mean FULLY DARK = 0% of light can pass through the glass
