I want to tint the front windows of my 2020. Being in CA I’m taking a chance because anything more than 80% is a fix it ticket. Does anyone know what the rear doors and windows are at? What % did you guys all go with?

rear is at 15%-18%. Here in FL I went with matching 18% Geoshield for the UV and IR. Almost Kinda maybe too dark at night on back roads. Great during the day because nobody can really see inside while you pick your nose. 7/5 would go same darkness again.

I did 35% in the front and back on both the wife and i’s rides. It’s dark enough to be effective and light enough that we never get a second look from the fuzz.

edit: the combo of 35, plus the existing rear window tint is pretty dark. The kids don’t complain.

You can do limo grade tint on rear passenger doors and back windows no problem. Legally, you can have a 3" strip across the top of the windshield, but I did 4" and haven't had any issues ( actually used vinyl on the outside ). Few cops will hassle you with 50% on the front windows because they get it and likely do it on their own POVs. As long as you're not being an ass, they'll will most likely leave you alone. The bottom line is they want to be able to see you when approaching and when you're driving.

I did 35% on the front door windows. It matches the smoked glass on the rear door windows perfectly. I also went with the 3M ceramic tint. Ceramic is suppose to block 99% of UV rays.

Agreed. But even if you get pulled over, roll the windows down so the cops cant see the tint, and will more likely be more chill cuz they can see inside the truck

I did 35% (darkest legal in Oregon) and I think it matches the back windows well enough. I also went with ceramic.

I think I did 20 all around. It's pretty dark on the back windows at night.

Your tint shop should know this stuff. I asked the shop I used to tint as dark as was legal. They did and gave me a certificate showing all was legal. Also a tiny decal on the window proclaiming the legality of the tint. You can roll the dice with darker tints and unless it's just over the top dark your chances of having and issue are slim. Now if you're the type that carries a bit of...err recreational mood enhancements on your person or in the truck maybe calling attention is not wise.
