    Hello,

I’m looking to tint my windows on my Tacoma. Mainly because I have a toddler and the factory tint doesn’t protect anything.

I’m looking for the best quality tint that protects from UV rays and it’s also dark. But not Limo tint dark.

Any recommendations for the LA area? Thanks in advance!

Sunshield tint. I have been going for YEARS.

Great prices and different quality levels. Their cheapest tint shows no sign of fading, bubbles, and turning purple in 6 years on my girlfriend's Civic.

They do have many options though. Most cars I dont keep long enough but it's been great on the Civic. Check the reviews.

Yeah I got the two front ones to match the rear. It was $80.

No pics yet since I haven't taken pics of my dirty truck since the install.

I was thinking about it, decided not to run with ceramic. If I was going to tint all four, I would have, but factory back tints were decent so I was like ehh... Haven't kicked myself for not going with ceramic though, I'm very content with these tints.

Awesome thanks for your input. The only reason I want to go ceramic is for my kids UV protection. I realized that the factory tint doesn’t protect jack squat’ haha.

How often does one should (if any) re-tint the windows? Shouldn't the tint last "forever"?

I think it depends on the type tint? My ceramic tint came with lifetime warranty :notsure:

If money isn't an issue, go for the 3M with the ceramic like film. Blocks UV heat but is $$$$ I have this on my entire front windshield and it's awesome in the summer!

Yeah, I heard nothing but great things about wrap armor. Going to wrap armor soon to wrap my tailgate. Thinking about wrapping the side mirrors also.

So I got my windows tinted today. I Went with ceramic. I know after a tint job you’ll see a few bubbles here and there. But I’ve never seen it this bad after a tint job.

Two of my rear windows look pretty bad. Giant air bubbles. It’s been raining here in SoCal so that might effect the curing process?

    Any thoughts? Thx

I'm not sure what "giant" is to you but you can try to squeegee it out to help. Ceramic like Huper Optik is very thick but I think it should be minimal size bubbles till it gets warm out.
