Window trim.coming off

I've tried tucking it back in or gorilla gluing it down. Nothing is working. Any other suggestions would be appreciated

 

Remove old paint, sandpaper, and mask-off
Black matt spray paint.

 

I was thinking that. Doesn't the rubber keep the water out of the inside of the door though

 

Time for new parts OP.

This happens from a large number of things,
Sun, attempted theft, age, cleaners....

Not hard to replace, not to expensive. Patients and plastic trim tools really help

Have a couple of cold ones fist, only 2 you need to be able to see straight.

Or pay a body shop.....

 

Super easy fix. Get a new one and replace.

Yes. It’s a replaceable part and has its own part number. Don’t have that. I’ve replaced mine. It’s was like a $ 30 piece I believe.

You can use 3M Black Super Weatherstrip Adhesive. This stuff works great.

 

I just replaced four of those on a Corolla. They just pop out and snap back in. The Tacoma looks a little more involved because a single piece runs all the way around the window instead of just a stick at the bottom. I did all the way around the driver window for about $100, then did the bottom trim piece only on the other three doors for a little more than that. None of it was hard.

The Tacoma is a strip at the bottom called a Window Belt Trim. It snaps out and the new one snaps in.

 

Replace with oem or 3m wrap it . I had a 2016 canyon with chrome trim and I hated it . I bought a roll of 3m black matte wrap and covered it and tucked the edges and then hit it with the heat no more chrome

 

so i ordered the part from our local glass dealer. $40 approx. is it easy to remove and replace as they indicated they need an hrs labour charge to do the work.
i was planning on doing this myself.
has anyone done this repair ?

Yep. Just roll the window completely down. It can be removed from the outside. Snap the new one on.
