    'Stock-But-Capable' - I have four other 4x4s to mod
I bought the cheap ebay ones , in channel (around $20). Have a bit of a blueish tint to them but happy otherwise

I have these too, in channel AVS. Listen to these folks, they're good.

Amazon or ebay usually has them for a fair price.

    Installation Tips:

    1. Roll down windows and clean inside window channel with alcohol and a microfiber rag.
    2. Test fit, so you get used to how they're going to bend some to go in and how they line up.
    3. Begin by peeling off about two inches of the double sided tape cover, making sure it's accessible to pull on when the vent is inserted all the way into the channel.
    4. Once the whole vent is installed and in place, peel out the remaining tape covering and roll your window back up, allowing it to remain closed for a while to help put pressure on the vent/tape and let it set.
    5. Enjoy

I have an Access Cab, with non-opening rear windows of course. How would the truck look with deflectors on just the front windows? Would it need the rears to make it look "right?"

Nothing major. -3rd Gen OR suspension swap. -Trailer light plug relocation.
Same here. I've been thinking about that as well. This morning I bit the bullet and ordered a set for just the front windows, no access cab windows. So once I get those in and installed I'll post some pics for everyone.

AVS in channel visors. Sticks on via tape. You won’t be disappointed. 2 years strong and never had an issue

They look fine, the beauty of an Access Cab is you don’t need to buy 2 of everything.

I think mine are old Weathertech 3M stick on. I put them on in 2006; the passenger side is still fine, the driver's side is starting to pop up a little by the mirror. Either style works, pick whatever style you like better.

+1 AVS. Were already on my truck when I bought it and have been working great. Love being able to crack the window open in the rain.

20190110_151912.jpg looks fine without the rears. These are avs. And my rear windows open. Just dont need the rears, not my thing.

My only concern with in-channel with the one vehicle I had with them (since sold) was that it seemed to add a slight extra load to the window motors to close or open the last / first inch or two. Didn't like the idea of premature wear of the window motors. For those that have them, any opinions on this?

I have the Weathertechs and have noticed this too. No issues so far, if anything happens later on I’ll deal with it then.

You don’t need them. I have them on my Access Cab because I like to complete the look. The are completely useless though. 51A2A24F-283A-49BF-A29A-8624A98E386E.jpg

I don’t recall the brand, probably Weather Techs in-channel knowing my brother (whom I purchased the truck from)- they’ve been on the truck since 2008 when he bought it at a year old. Both he and I are open windows people, no issues thus far at 11 years and counting. I wouldn’t worry about it.
