Back in my day modding your truck was putting a piece of plywood in back as a bed liner and a gun rack

It is kind of a grandpa or scooby vape bro mod.

The only difference is grandpa will likely have Ron Jon Surf Shop sticker on the back glass because he bought a pair of board shorts there once on a trip to Florida where is Scooby Bro will have that silly Supreme sticker, and he couldn't even ollie over a 24 pack case of beer because popcorn lung

If you dont know you dont need them.

If you dont like the look, don't get them.

I mean most people dont really need a lift, big tires, black wheels or LED lights either. But yet........

I have the low profile ones and barely notice them. They are fully functional for lots of purposes. All you guys saying theyre purely cosmetic is quite the assumption.

Personally they've proven great for ventilation and air flow when sleeping in my vehicle, without having to worry about rain overnight.

Didn't love the look initially and they do cause some wind noise, but they've grown on me - useful camping mod for sure.

No it’s not legal to shoot them from the truck. Washington is almost as communist as California. But you can spot them from the road and get 50 feet off the center line to be legal. If you are so inclined.

Eh, it’s not really by choice. I would much rather be out west somewhere. New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, etc. More public land and less humidity.

ok now you are just straight up bragging. As you should though. I’m acutely aware of how good you guys have it over there, and I pray all the time that the blue poison doesn’t bring your great state down as well

Hell yea dude. Unfortunately Austin has become a mini Commiefornia. Just hope it stays there contained.

I also have added them. I had them on my previous Taco and I like the security of being able to leave your windows down 1-2” and not worry about rain while getting some air flow while parked. I think they look good while adding a benefit. To each their own

I have the AVS in-channel visors and they’ve been great. Similar to others, I live in the south so being able to crack my windows when the truck is sitting in a hot parking lot (in addition to a window shade) makes a big difference by stemming the greenhouse effect in the truck.

Yes, helps with ventilation when raining - particularly when the temps are mild and AC would fog the windows, heat would be too warm.
