Unless you live where temps below 0 are common just top off your tank with fluid rated to around -20. No need to drain the tank. I don't have a brand preference but stock up on the stuff rated -20 during the winter. They don't sell it around here during the summer. There isn't much difference in cost and I just prefer to keep the same fluid in year round.

I top off my washer tanks every time I check the oil. Once a week or every other week at most depending on how much I drive.

You got some watered down booshit for washer fluid, don’t go back to wherever you got it.

    - 35 here this morning and windshield had a ice shield from the nice weather the day before. Started truck up no problems and turned on the windshield wipers and washer fluid came out with no issues. I use the cheap blue stuff you buy at Shell. Took about 1/2 hour to melt off the windshield though.

Only issue I ever had with my wiper washers was a clog on the pin hole nipples that shoot the spray on the windshield after waxing the truck which I no longer do.
Go get the washer fluid made in Canada it's good for -30 or better...it'll take the paint off your truck.
On another note, I went to use my washer wipers this morning, and at -16 here they didn't work. I think they were frozen, cause after I ran the truck on an errand they did work once the truck was fully warmed up, I was getting heat.

Snow and ice can build up and freeze around the spray nozzles, might want to check that if you’re in those conditions. Easy to resolve with a spray can of de-icer.

Well, here in the Great White North (BC Interior and the Prairies) we can get 9-1/2 litres jugs (2.5 US gallon) of WWF that's good to minus 49 Chocula (minus 56 Frankenberry).

If that doesn't work for you, you have no business being outside. :canada:

And no, it doesn't take the paint off your truck, but you also don't want to get it near any open flames...

Shit that doesn’t freeze is illegal in California. It’s super hard to find any … especially with the storms we had
