Windows 10 and PC Custom Component questions

First off, I've inherited a gaming rig from a dear friend who has sadly passed away.

I do not have the PIN or Password for it. I found this online https://www.isumsoft.com/windows-10/windows-10-password-reset-without-disk.html

Method 4. The trial version lets me add a user but not recover the other user password. I would like to do that in order to cleanse the system prior to selling the rig..ideally making sure he didn't have any docs saved that would lead me to any help in settling his affairs. The full version to do that is $20, is this a trusted site or should I do something else?

I've taken a few pictures of the tower and the insides of it, so any help in appraising it would also be great if anyone out here can help.
