That depends entirely on the humidity levels of the air. Did you know that humidity is much more dangerous in terms of heat stroke than dry heat ? The body's natural mechanism to prevent overheating is sweating. You sweat, it evaporates and your skin is cooled. With high levels of humidity what happens is there is so much moisture in the air it prevents your sweat from evaporating off of your skin and in a sense literally cooks you slowly -lol. This is why in the south or in chicago summers when the humidity is high you feel like no matter what you can't cool off.

Well...I understand your point as I do live in the south (very humid in Columbia, SC)...but what does that have to do with my "food for thought"? (compairison of when the usage of the AC occurs)

btw...I'm playing devils advocate here :p

With my pregnant girlfriend it's a definite AC on. I know she's miserable carrying a baby in heat like this. Other than that, I prefer to ride with the windows down unless it's pretty darn hot out or the weather doesn't permit.

Down as much as possible - in AM and when it's cool(ish) or not humid, windows down. When it's hot and humid - AC all the way.

You need another option for the poll...

I like mine down, but when it's humid and too hot, roll em up and AC is on.

A/C unless it's really nice and the pollen count is low.

I have allergies...that cabin air filter is a useful device.

A/C on only above 50mph/Interstate driving.

Of course, when the girlfriend gets in, she cranks it to high before the truck is even started...

Windows down always here. As long as it stays under 92, I'm fine. :D

Driving usually windows down till I get to the highway or important convo...

When I'm sleeping in the truck A/C on full blast for 5 mins with windows up then sleep... When the sun comes up windows go down half way with the slider all the way open... Sunblocker in front window as well.

Gulf coast summers in Texas are intimidating to say the least. I enjoy windows down as often as possible but with humidity at the maximum scientific limit I've got to use a/c.

I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
    1/2 and 1/2 for me.

Windows down for a few minutes after leaving my truck parked at the mercy of the Texas sun then AC.

I sweat a lot and AC is the only thing that keeps me sane while driving.
