If I remove the negative terminal from the battery for one minute then reconnect, my power windows work. As soon as I close my door my windows stop working. When I repeat the process the same thing happens every time.

If you open the door back up, they still don't work?

    This is an ODD case.

I'll have to think on this one.

They do not. I have to remove the negative terminal for a minute and reconnect to get it going again.

To be clear none of the power windows work from any of the switches?

    Correct.

A clue that may or may not be relevant is that when I close my drivers door the truck makes the mechanical sound of unlocking all the locks, twice in a row. That started a year ago. The power window problem started yesterday.

With your key out of the ignition and door open, does your truck beep? (Like you left the key in the ignition)

Do the door locks work correctly?

Pull the 20A DR LCK fuse and see if the windows work.
I doubt it will......But that fuse is tied to the windows.
    We have to start somewhere.

That fuse is on the drivers side, behind the little cubby door thing.

Dropping this here to show the "commons" between the 2 systems.

Focusing on the "kill power" system resets and works for a short time.

A hint would be: Only a battery fuse "fixes" the issue. (batter disconnected)
No need to focus on ignition powered fuses.

    Sticking Relay? Or Body ECU?

That sounds like an aftermarket alarm/remote start is installed and going wonky.

Pulling the 20A DL fuse didn’t work. I’ll have someone uninstall the decommissioned alarm system tomorrow and see what happens.

Update: I had my aftermarket alarm system successfully removed, but it did not solve the problem. I tried a brand new drivers door master P/W switch, but it did not solve the problem. Thank you for all of the troubleshooting ideas.

When this happens. Pull the 7.5A ECU-B fuse. Then reinsert it.
See if that makes them work again.

I'm still trying to figure out power needs to be killed, to "temporarily" fix the issue.

Check the wiring bundle where it jumps from the pillar to the door. The repeated bending of the wires can make them brittle and break

This almost sounds like the power till door open circuit is working in reverse. When you pull the negative and re-attach does the radio also turn on?

FIXED IT! I checked the wiring bundle where it jumps from the pillar to the door. Three wires were cut. I crimped them back together and everything works now. Thanks all. Love this forum.
