Just thought I'd post two simple solutions to probs I was having...
-I was starting to think my windsheild washer pump was slowly getting weak or clogged because it was only squirting up the windsheild about 2" or 3". Turns out the hose was being partially pinched by the rubber weatherstripping under the hood. A quick relief cut with a knife and it's working well again (see picture)

-The second problem (more of an inconvenience and it really just pissed me off everytime) was when filling my washer reservoir, I could only fill it up to the bottom of the neck on the filler tube before having to try and burp it a bunch of times to add more fluid and fill it right up to the top. I ended up drilling a small hole at the top of the filler tube neck to let the air out during filling.
I'm sure the Toyota engineers had a reason why they designed it that way, but so far, I haven't had any problems since I modified it. With the nasty, slushy wet weather we've been having here lately, I'm liking having the extra few litres of washer fluid under the hood.

    Thanks for this

If I may, I'd like to add a third potential problem to the list for those who have Rust Check or similar petroleum based undercoat on their trucks...
The product can make rubber swell, and that means the washer lines. Mine popped off the pump at the bottom of the washer fluid tank and relieved itself completely on the ground.
A zip tie has averted any further issues.
