Also make sure you change your cabin air filter, a dirty filter greatly reduces the air volume the fan can move.
I was wondering why it was taking so long for my windshield to clear and realized my air filter hadn't been cleaned in almost 30,000 miles.
Cleaned it up and the blowers work much better.

I would let your GF know that shite happens. I'm sure it wasn't intentional and she probably feels pretty bad about it.

It's all one piece and molded to fit the attached rubber seal, no way any random piece will fit.

I don't even know that I'd bother replacing that UNLESS it's REALLY going to bother you.

Doesn't look too bad. Maybe just leave it as is. I'm sure no one will notice that

Doesn't look too bad at all. If you have access to a heated garage and a heat gun you might be able to make it look a bit better by applying some heat to it. I would not do that out in the cold but a slow approach in regards to heat used might clean the rubber up a bit.

The heat gun idea seems reasonable imo.

You could get a quote from the Toyota dealer but I would check with a glass shop. That piece would have to be removed to replace the windshield so they have to know how to do it and their labor rates are probably pretty good compared to a car dealership or garage....

I haven’t had my annual vision exam, I don’t see damage or much damage?

Guess I need to see the GF and decide what to do?

I would definitely wait til spring and then, who knows? You might be okay with leaving it. If the truck was brand-new I would replace it, but a few years old? Nah. Of course I guess that's easy for me to say.

Wait until summer and park it facing full sun, you might be able to reshape it and apply a small amount of sealant to dress it up.
Heat gun in this weather sounds like a chance to make things worse.

Are you sure it was the GF that did the damage? Really...I don't see much to worry about.

I mean she was the one with the scraper on that side of the truck… I’m not really worried about it for now.. it just one of those things that I’ll eventually fix. No sense in fixing it if more winter weather is going to come in
