Something I read years ago regarding sunglasses. If you hold them in front of you looking through the lenses, look at a straight line such as a seam in the floor tiles, move the glasses up and down side to side. If the line moves, the lense quality is low.

The past week, the sun glare has timed itself to be perfectly in front low on the horizon. When it's that bad, the only thing that seems to work is to leave earlier or later. Or if it's totally unavoidable, holding my hand in front of my face. Not the greatest plan.

I don't like bringing my expensive sunglasses to work, in the work truck. No matter how careful I am, I manage to screw them up.

I've considered a piece of electrical tape across the top of my cheap sunglasses.

This of sort of like what happened when I bought my first snowblower in 1987. I was a winter with one of the least amounts of snowfalls. Cloudy this morning on the way to work.

It was in the mid 40s this morning, the Tacoma's heater seems like a good one. I know the fan speed resistors and blower motors tend to go, but I found after several minutes the lowest fan setting was fine. Then again, it wasn't very cold.

That's my concern - the glare was so bad I'm wondering if even anything, including polarized sunglasses will work. Either way I was due for new ones, and for a change have ones of better quality than I usually get.

I had my 2008 Tacoma for 11 years. Maybe I was lucky, but I didn't have and issues with the blower motor or climate controls.

Because it's that time of year, there's a section of highway I travel that goes west, so it feels like I'm driving straight to the sun. The polarized glasses help a lot, along with the sun visor.

I have a strip of tint above the as-1. I will note, if your taco has the blue fade at the top of the windshield like mine, a tint MAY look purple from outside when combined with the blue, depending on the color temp of the tint

Since I bought the sunglasses a week ago the sun hasn't been that strong.
The sun hasn't been strong in the morning since I bought the polarized glasses last week. Previously, the glare was so bad all I could see where a few of the white lines on the road. Hopefully cleaning the windshield in and out and polarized sunglasses will help.

Good to know maybe not all Tacomas have trouble with the climate system.

Congrats on the 2022! I'm thinking I may not be able to really test the new sunglasses until next September as maybe the sun's position has changed enough already during the morning commute. At least you likely have USB ports!

For the first time in over a month the sun was intense again on the way into work in the morning, due to the time change and weather. I do believe now the polarized sunglasses helped, thanks all for the recommendation.
