Like the OPs 2016 model year, I had mine done with Safelite mobile service and it was around $400 - insurance not involved.

It was damaged (large gash in drivers viewpoint) when I purchased my nicely used SR5.

I had my replaced today by a local glass company. 16 year old glass had so may tiny pits all over it. Made driving at night bad, and driving at night in rain a nightmare. I specifically asked them for Pilkington brand, but alas after they had left, I noticed it was labeled Trival, with a DOT 563 label. Looked it up, chinese glass. Trival I think is Pilkingtons new Trademark name. Looks really good and clear. They did a good job. Took it for a drive tonight, and glare from other cars was better than the old one. So my next test will be driving in the rain tomorrow. It seems that the Glass industry has outsourced their business to china, and that most name brand Windshield Companies are subbing China Glass off on us, the unsuspecting consumers. I don't really care as long as the new Windshield holds up, and doesn't leak. I paid for it out of Pocket, $197 and some change. Live and Learn.Sorry guys, I just realized this is 3rd gen thread, and I have a 1st gen.
