Whoa, that is fucked up! My windshield came from the factory cracked on the inside, no visible damage to the outside. Toyota wouldn't replace it. Been waiting to get it changed out, as soon as I use up my 1 free windshield replacement, I know that it will get broken right away by something else.

Well, no one is going to think this is 'right', other than the guy who did the work and his mother (he was always a good boy!)

Sorry you have this mess. But you've taken the correct steps. However, I'd be hounding them at least 2x a day.

Everything needs to be made right. The work, new dash pad, new grips, etc. And make sure you don't have missing items from within the cab (change, tools, etc)

Long story short, you should be made whole, and someone should lose their job, assuming the employer has 1/2 a brain.

No wonder the installer got fired from McDonalds couldn't even put the bun on right side up . Just put # 3 in mine the dog broke the last one! I took it to the glass shop because it was cracked on the inside the shop owner and I both were mystified. It cracked from the mirror down. Driving home it dawned on me my dog is a 140+ # Great Dane and has a tendency to wonder around in the truck if I'm not in it and bashed into the mirror.

Those pictures along with any other supporting documents would be all over the internet Facebook. Instagram,Twitter,Yelp and every other site going.....

Go take a picture of the business store front attach that with the pictures post online....

Words could not describe the anger I would have if this was mine.

I had a friend in the early 90's put up a billboard (which was on their property) outside of a Tampa Bay Toyota Dealer that said " If you value and love your car DON'T have it serviced here @ this Toyota dealer"

Strange the OP hasn't posted back with the installer information after several requests. He has posted in the pet section since this postage....just appalling the mess they made....

First things first, I wouldn't let that installer do the re-repair...this should be handled by the dealer as the dash needs replacing....his insurance will sort this out I am sure....removal of the gunk from handprints will be hard without harming the exterior surface on the suicide handle

OP, post up with updates, so many want to know who the shyster was that did the work, shame postings will follow.

This can not be an up and up shop, but more like a backyard installer...

Good luck with the insurance wrap up on this...
