I'd get with the owner/manger of the place, give them a chance to make it right first. There is a chance the owner may not know stuff is being done like this. If they fail to successfully come through, then this:

    and this:

I wouldn't drive around with that windshield like that for very long. There is a lot of liability involved with incorrect installation of windshields. I used to help install windshields and they had to be extremely careful about installing correctly because if anything went wrong, the finger could get pointed at the installer. Also, that urethane adhesive they use is super nasty stuff and is impossible to wash off of anything.

I'd let them make it right by submitting a claim to their insurance for the damaged pieces to be replaced and for the dealership to reinstall a new windshield at the same time they're installing everything else that the company fucked up.

It's one thing to have a windshield replaced and have it leak and soak your floorboards and "let them make it right first," it's a completely different situation when a truck is for all intensive purposes vandalized to the extent we see in pictures, not including the horrifically bad windshield "installation."

OP owes the company nothing at all, except a cost estimate to repair it to the previous condition it was in before it was fucked over by their hands.

Maybe @kuffer14 could shed some light on the GF angle.

Sorry OP this is a mess. As stated fight through your insurance and please let everyone know who did this so we can all avoid the same issue.

I dunno about "impossible" you would be surprised what does work. I got a tube of the windshield sealant from the body shop when I worked at Chevy dealer years ago, replacing the side window in the hard top of my '85 4Runner.
I'm busy working on the glass, my 2yo daughter is bebopping around inside the truck. Things are quiet, when kids are quiet, shit is wrong.

She found the open tube ( of course ) and managed to squeeze out enough to cover her shirtless body head to toe, in the hair, on her face, and was happily drawing pictures on the dash board.

Aw shit, Mom's ( my wife) gonna kill me....

WET ONES, the wipes, cleaned the kid, hair and all, no trace of it on her, even got most all of it off the dash, no help for the seat, it was rubbed in pretty good.

Mom laughed her ass off once I told her what happened later that night ( I had to have a few beers first, wasn't sure how it would go over )

As for windshield and glass in vehicle, it is actually part of the vehicle structure now, an improperly replaced glass pane can make or break the protective integrity of the crush zone.

Had windshield replaced in a Sprinter van I used to drive, installer used a "spoon" attachment on a sawzall 3" wide 4" long, thin piece of metal. he actually sliced the roof line of the windshield frame with it getting the old glass out. almost totaled the van.

It was Sierra Vista Glass, partnered with Safelite; the guys hanging around the gas station on Davis-Monthan AFB. I should have gone to the dealership to do it. I did it all through USAA, and they contacted the company, then sent me an email saying that they will contact me to make it right. I didn't hear from them for 2 days before I called them, then they lied to me saying they left a message... BS. I was flying but I would still get messages after I land. I sent her and the manager emails of the pictures I took, plus some more, and she said the manager would get back to me by 1pm today.... No word from them. I called them and the manager was not around. I don't want to completely screw them over until my truck is made right. And by right I expect all new pieces to return it to excellent condition. I am not paying or going to be punished for something some lazy bum did. I am tired of them making no effort to contact me, but I will continue to bug the shit out of them to get it corrected. If they come back with telling me it's nothing a good detail and glue won't fix I'll tell them to fuck off and then report them.

I can't add to anything as it's all been said but hopefully op will follow up with the business info and I am curious as hell for owner's explanation as to this travesty. In fairness to op not posting yet he is probably still trying to recover as that is just unbelievable. On the plus side it is fixable and hopefully (and I think they will) USAA will take care of this to your satisfaction.

DON'T LET THEM TOUCH IT. You need a new dashboard plus a proper window install with all the gaskets, nothing in their work quality indicates they can handle something as difficult as that....

Called USAA to tell them what was going on, and they conferenced me in with someone at Safelite and I sent her the pictures, and she will also be making sure that this company pays to get it repaired. They couldn't believe what the guy did.

The scary part is that you'll need a new dash top. I would have/demand a Toyota dealer do all the interior repairs... on Safelite's dime. Don't let those jerkoffs attempt the interior repairs.

2,500 miles on your truck too! WTF!?

If that happened to me, I would have started looking around because I would have been sure I was getting Punked!

Seriously, that is beyond aweful. More like vandalism.

That guy need fired, his manager needs fired, hell, fire his children from the first job they will get in 10 years!
