Anyone else have this problem. My squirters shoot at the hood, and no fluid hits the window. I popped both of them out to clean them thinking they were clogged, but they both worked perfect, just directed at the hood.

I searched here, but didn't find anything. Maybe I'm calling them the wrong name?

I've adjusted windshield squirters on other vehicles in the past. The nozzle was a little ball you could adjust it by putting a small wire in the hole the fluid comes out of and moving it. This was not on a Tacoma so as always your mileage may vary.

You just have to rub them a little bit.... they'll point in the right direction.

The service manual shows three different washer nozzles available, in; -2, 0, and +2 degree spray patterns.

Try to stick a pin in the hole and adjust the spray direction upwards, I have done that on all the vehicles I have owned. If that doesn't work, I guess you will need the part listed above by splitbolt. Good luck. Should be an easy, inexpensive fix.

Does it seem like there's enough pressure? If not, the hose may have come loose or dislodged. Check the joints and fittings. Make sure the motor sounds strong too at reservoir of washer fluid.

This is one of those small things that drives you nuts. Now that it has started raining I kind of need them for the road spray.

I pulled them, and the pressure is great, pump sounds fine, they just are aimed at the hood.

I'll look at them again and see if there is a way to adjust the direction.

If that doesn't work it's off to the dealer for the replacement parts listed above. Which is fine because I have a squeaky clutch pedal, rattle in drivers door and dash, and I got a call saying my airbag needs to be replaced. Might as well get it all done at once.

Thanks for the help, seems this isn't as common as I thought.

Take it to the dealer, you should have bumper to bumper warranty for at least 2yrs.
But If you mess it up trying to stick something they may have to void your warranty. Not worth it now.

But if it's out of warranty, go for it, easy fix it does happen every now & then off the assembly line.
So much for dealer prep charge eh? lolo!!

    Hope that helps
    Cheers!

That is an old recall notice, but its all I could find. Not sure if that's the one he is talking about.

I haven't called the dealer yet, but I had a voice message saying that my 2016 tacoma needs to come in for a recall. Something about moisture intrusion into the air bag inflator assemble that can cause it to rupture in a collision and send metal fragments into the occupants, that's what the message said, and then to call a dealer to setup an appointment.

I didn't see Tacoma on the current list of affected vehicles. There was an expanded list released a couple days ago, I haven't seen that one yet. Its really not a big deal, mainly if you live in a humid area. All that will be changed is the inflator cartridge. I'm surprised they have ample supply of parts available, I had to wait 6 months for my dodge to get updated, and I live in a priority zone( high humidity).

I just checked my build date = 8/15/2015. Sorta kinda weird they know what bolts were installed on air bags but can't get the transmission filled properly or driveline lubed?? Bolts cost a few cents ... transmissions and differentials several hundred $$... they track the cents parts... well I guess Toyota has something going anyways.
Now the question is how they found out the bolts were wrong... ouch!
