For my 2019 TRD Sport: I’m trying to wire an extra switch to allow me to turn on the windshield washers from an alternate location. I’ve been looking at wiring diagrams and such to figure out where to start but I figured I’d check here and see if anything like this has been done. Thanks!

Now I’m intrigued. Please explain why you could use a switch in a different place?

OP, when you activate the washer pump, the wipers also activate. (If you have intermittent type setup)

I'm actually surprised it looks like the washer motor is wired directly to the switch in that diagram. I would have thought it'd go through the BCM given how things are these days.

I cannot say, but I need a switch on the exterior. My reasoning shall be a mystery for the time being, but I’ll post a follow up once it’s done…

From what I’ve seen this something that no one has done, and honestly (since I’m new to the forum) I don’t know if laying it out super detailed would get me banned or something. This is all I think I could say about what I want to do: I’m trying to add a momentary switch to activate the wipers and washers from the outside. It’s not going to be useful or utilitarian, it is entirely for goofs. I’m not gonna spray anyone with it or something dumb like that, the washers are going to work just like they do now, just with a second on switch. Issue is I’m new to this modding stuff, somewhat bad with electronics, and can’t ask any of my friends about it because I want to surprise them with it. That’s why I came to you fine lads.

As cheap as modern electronic gadgets are these days why not control it with a wireless remote?

Don't know if this is a good or bad one just the first Amazon item when I searched for "wireless remote kit" -- only $20.

UPDATE: I’ve gotten everything wired up. I turn the switch on and the wipers start going but not the washers. Maybe I spliced the relay in backwards? I believe I followed the diagram above to a tee. I have exactly 0 idea what’s going on. I’ll attach some pictures of what I got going on tomorrow, it’s time to pack it in for the night.

I’m not working from the stick like that. Right now everything I’m working on is at the pump by the reservoir. Is there not a way to splice into the washers from the pump?

I’ll send pictures of what I got tomorrow. Basically I have everything on the right side of that picture correct, only difference I suppose is the two white wires are the pinkish/red wire connecting to the pump spliced into the relay. The wipers come on with the switch but not the washers. There’s a second white wire coming off the pump that I figured was a ground, but maybe the pink controls wipers and the white controls the washers. I have no clue, and again I’m very very new to this. It took me like 20 minutes just to interpret parts of that diagram. So, is there a way to wire a switch to turn on the washers from the washer pump?

I’ve been as specific as I think I can. I’m trying to wire a switch to turn on the washers externally via the washer pump under the hood. I’m not trying to splice wires in the cab as I don’t want to run wires through the firewall. I’ve given pretty much everything I can except it’s purpose. I wouldn’t pull my reservoir out just for trolls, I need some honest help on this one.
