Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
The beginning of summer we rented a Apex Nano 187 from RvShare.com. We towed it about 1500 miles through flat country, Tampa to north Georgia and back. The rig did well. Trailer felt very cheaply built. But we’re coming from a NuCamp T@b which is very well built. But that’s what you get with the lightweights. I think we were around 3300-3500 lbs. I would not own one of these. Nor would I tow anything bigger. I’m heading for a Winnebago 170s. I’ve now viewed a couple. Not Airstream quality but better built than Rpods and Satelites.

Looking forward to seeing a nano in person. What I rented was a Salem 17 footer bunk. Trailer was from 2014 but getting into it felt like going back to the 70s if that makes sense.

Winnebago at 30persent more for same footprint trailer better be nicer to justify cost. I with my families finances ( not judging anyone else's desision) can justify 17k but 26ish not so much. Hell l was all ramped up to buy it when started this thread. Just damn. Lot of cash after I really thinking about it

That's what I'm finding. 4-5 year old Jayco's look like a bad 90s kitchen reno. It seems it's only been in the last 2-3 years that travel trailers have started looking their year. I can't get on board with the ultra modern, colour-LED-filled interiors but the NoBos, Geo-Pros etc look great.

this is the exact reason we ended up buying one of the campers i mentioned brand new. looking at the 18-24' under 4500lbs dry with bunk trailers and noticed most of the used ones just a few years old were within a few thousand of a new one. we also can't justify spending 25k-35k on a Winnebago or lance. we got our salem platinum edition 178bhsk for $18,900 before tax, license etc. so somewhere around 21k after all said and done. if we would have found a used camper that was a good deal and maybe came with all the extras like sewer hose, WD hitch, chock blocks, surge protectors, etc then we would have bought it. with the way the market is though used trailers are going for top dollar and are gone in hours. and you can't find a new trailer and if you do its 6+ months until you actually receive it. apex nano 193/194bhs, wildwood/salem 178bhsk, wolf pup/cascade lite 17jg, keystone hideout 176lhs are all under 20k new.

i noticed new price seems to depend a lot on location. im in WA state and finally found a wolf pup 17jg in seattle but it was $22,800. called and talked to the dealer and they said $22,000 was their lowest price. looked on RVtrader.com and in utah, which is about a 15 hour drive i found multiple of the same trailer for $16,200. seemed like from what i looked up that most of those trailers i mentioned were all cheaper in the utah, colorado area.

For some reason the PNW is the highest pricing for RV's. I am in Spokane and looked at driving to Utah, Boise or Montana. Fortunately we found something local in Post Falls but had to wait 10 weeks.

We had great service and fair price thru Blue Dog RV. They are a volume dealer and don't all drool for commissions. And I didn't feel like I needed to take a shower after dealing with them. LOL. Highly recommend Blue Dog. Great Service dept too. There is one in Pasco. Costco has an RV buying program that Blue Dog will honor.

ya we looked there and they had the keystone hideout 176 bunkhouse but when we called them about it they said they just sold and would be expecting more in at some point. we kept looking and then found the salem at our local dealer. a couple things we liked more on the salem like fiberglass exterior the double bunks and the u shaped dinette. and the price was only around 2,000 more so we went with it.

Like most things location has a big influence on price. Also time of year. For example now is time to shop recreational vehicles(rvs, boats, etc) in the north. They’re all getting put away in storage. Hmm, pay storage or sell? Yes, it may mean a drive to save a few thousand. But in the case of rvs that means a road trip with my new rv! I’ve saved and made thousands buying in one area of country and selling in mine at right time. Mind what you want at the right price and go get it.

I have a 1700BH and would have got the 2100BH if it had existed at the time I bought. I pull it all over with my V6 Tacoma and it does it quite well. Being a single axle trailer it was really easy to get the tongue load way up. The first time I loaded it I ended up over 550lb tongue weight, but after a little trailer tetris I was able to move enough weight back to get down closer to 400lb. I'd expect the 2100 to be less tongue sensitive. Two things I did which make trailering much more relaxing were adding the timbren progressive bump stops and running C load range LT tires. I ran D and E tires too but the P to LT difference in improved feel was much bigger than C to E. Another thing I like about the 1700/2100 is you can see around it with the stock Tacoma mirrors well enough on road to not really need tow mirrors. Backing up needs towing mirrors or a helper though. I put every scrap of weight I can in the trailer to keep my truck right at GVWR with 350lbs of people in cab and i've considered looking for a much lighter WD hitch setup.

Hey ladies and gents, going to purchase a 2021 2100bh TT tomorrow with the adventure package. Frame is lifted as well as beefier tires.
I’m having a ridiculous time finding the height, when level of the TT coupler, so that I can mate it to my hitch with the appropriate ride/drop. I have found two common answers, 23” and 28”. These were both from the micro mini owners’ forum page. 28”seems excessive but The TT is lifted. The manual for my model isn’t available on the Winnebago manual download page. I asked the owner and he shot me the same link that has two different figures on it. His driveway isn’t level so a measurement wouldn’t do me any good. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

edit: I am calling their customer support line but I did see numerous threads where people said that the information given to them by customer support contradicted that of actual owners.

Here’s where my hitch was set on my Tacoma for the lifted 1708. I took this pic before I traded for a half ton. It would tow it, but it was much less than ideal. I want my trips to be relaxing. 9A21CAA5-44D2-44F8-AAC4-8E0E72649ED1.jpg
