If you use the ones with a regular hex head you don't have to worry about stripping heads, and you can use a regular wrench as a backup.

To be fair, I've only managed to do it once. Was drilling one of those magic screws there through a pair of PT 4x4's on my deck. The edges on the bit let go and ate up the screw head. I wasn't even able to back it out with a set of vice grips, so I ended up just cutting it off flush with an angle grinder. Must have hit a knot or something for that sort of resistance, I think.

I was just gonna move the sub box over to the left a little bit, put up a pillow, and sleep in the passenger seat in my sleeping bag. I can imagine its terrible trying to pack up my nasty snowy dewey tent in the snow. Plus its quite large so eh

I learned the last time in 30F weather that I wasn't prepared... this time around though I will be.

Just got the weatherhood today - I'm going to install it tomorrow and see how it holds up.

Yup. Thinking Im going to make a day trip up to Telos Rd either Fri or Sat this week right after Thanksgiving. Scout out some roads and try to figure out which ones are being kept open this year and which aren't. Kinda need to figure that out before I go much further with the route planning haha

That would be a good idea for sure, that way we wont be plowing our own roads through 3 feet of snow

All - @Shootfordetails (Joshua) was the photographer on the RI run I organized last week. He was wondering if we were interested in him joining us (he would need a spot in a truck and I'm pretty sure he has his own camping gear) for this run, his rate would be about 20$ a truck just to cover the cost of him bringing the gear (camera, drone, etc) and editing everything etc.

Also I'm still tentative on this run as there's a chance I need to go out west for work again...

I could go either way on that tbqh. Those shots from RI were super awesome, but at the same time trying not to spend too much money this time of year haha. Does he have good cold weather / 0 degree or better gear?

    What is the tentative schedule?
Meet early Saturday morning or somewhere at a hotel Friday night?
I would like to join but would need to take either a Friday or Monday for travel.
