I'm looking to get some wheels for a winter set, and have come across a few deals on OE wheels. Just trying to decide which one to pic and looking for feedback.

First one is 17" FJ/4Runner wheels:

Next is a 16" TRD Trail Teams, leaning on black, but they also have a silver:

Lastly is a wheel that already come with snow tires, but not sure about the bronze wheel on a white truck:

Let me know what you think. Trying to decide before winter.

Personally i'd go for the trail teams (looks stock, sort of boring) or the nice looking bronze TRD's.

I had the trail teams , have the 17" fj/4runner wheels now , I'd like to get a set of the trd beadlocks or maybe an aftermarket set, something by fn perhaps. My personal favorite would either be the fj/4tunner 17" or the beadlocks , but heck it's your truck man and their all good wheels . So get what looks best to you!:)

16" steelies is what I would run for dedicated snows. Who cares what they look like considering the truck will likely be dirty all winter anyhow. I actually have a set I just took off mine on craigslist but no takers yet. Lots of them are for sale. Might just hold onto them if my Grabber HTS's aren't good in snow.

    Don't hit curbs :notsure:

I'd go with the first ones, I love those FJ wheels.

Damn nice options. I would choose the set I could get in a dark color if that is your white truck.

I've been using gun metal trails teams for the winter since I got my truck. They don't dis color and look great. I actually ran them all summer wearing out my almost finished winters. Going to put on new winters this year and tempted to get summer in 16'' next year because I love the look. I'll sell the factory 17"

It's not only pretty, the alloys won't rust out on you. If you live in an area where they salt the ever living shit out of the roads, an argument can be made for using aluminum or alloy wheels in the winter. I doubt that's the OP's reasoning, but I've considered buying stock OR or Sport wheels for winter just because of that (gotta look pretty in the winter also) :)

I'm on my second set of alloys due to bubbling

    They aren't immune to salt

The bubbling is cosmetic though, they won't rust and flake like steel. Mine are bubbling also, I'll probably paint them next year unless I can find another set for cheap.

I wrapped my winter tires around the oem alloys and have not had any major bubbling issues in 5 years. I simply make a point of spraying the salt off regularly.

    Alloys ftw

I think my proximity to the ocean doesn't help , my second ( current ) set started bubbling after 1 winter and I spray off my truck regularly in winter

The dealership said they are constantly replacing the alloys here under warranty

    Stock for now
If those are the OP's only choices I'd pick option #2.
I had RW beadlocks on my tundra & they hold everything behind the lip of that beadlock & drip out water behind the ring all over the tires.
Kinda defeats the nice looking factor if that is what you are looking for.
They are a pita to clean too fwiw.

I bought here on TW a set of mounted Blizzaks on the black rugged trail Baja rims that now come on the SR package.
The previous owner had already used them in winter.
My past winter tire setup on the 06 was OEM steelies. They worked but did rust in places.

So the 1st Gen frames were just cosmetically flawed to a point of failure
