Is it possible to adjust the wiper arm pressure? After applying a glass coating, I'm getting wiper chatter. And it think it's because the wiper edge isn't "flipping" back the other direction after the up-swipe.

The up swipe is no chatter, down swipe is chatter. If I could lessen pressure, I think it would alleviate the problem.

I've read about bending wiper arms to fix chatter. But I can't see a way to adjust pressure (and I'd rather not bend them at this point).

Have you tried cleaning the blades? Possibly the coating worked its way on to the blade and is causing your issue.

I've heard it's common to get chatter after applying rain-x.

I used Aquapel. I didn't use the wipers for 24 hrs after applying, but I suppose it could have migrated from just laying on the glass. Water beading is incredibly good and no reason for wipers over 30-35mph.

Seems like if it was a blade issue it would chatter in both directions.

That happens every time I have tried it, had much better luck with the Rain X Washer Fluid instead.

You may want to try new wiper blades just to see. Hang onto the old ones. That stuff will probably wear off pretty soon and you won't notice it. I don't think I'd be adjusting my wipers (if that's possible) until I ruled out the coating as the culprit.

It might have only made it onto the topside of the blade, possibly from excess product or from the first swipe of the blade, which could be the culprit. This is all speculation obviously.

I use rain x wiper fluid. But when I wax, I use an orbital and make sure I get the windows as well. Works wonders.

wipe the blades with rubbing alcohol on a paper towel or rag. See if that helps.
