I'm gonna see if I can pick up at cheap set of OEM's or a cheap set from an auto store. Hopefully they'll be better than the rain-x

I haven't had to deal with mud, but ice/snow/rain is a pretty regular thing here and I've been using Rain-X Latitudes on the Subaru for most of the last 5 years (except one year I had the Bosch Icons) and they seem to last me and the wife the longest and have the best performance along with keeping the windshield clean. (Hit up the gas station to wash it at least once a week in the winter to get the salt and crap off). I ended up putting some on the Tacoma a few days after I bought it as whatever they had on it (doubt they were OEM as I bought it used, but I've found out that the previous owner went to the Toyota dealership for all service so maybe they were?). Sucks you guys have had bad experiences with them, guess maybe it's a YMMV kinda thing? hehe

Bosch icons are good but I think OEM is probably better.

Just my $.02 - Tried Bosch and Rain-X because I had great luck with them on other vehicles. But both of them left streaking right out of the box at the outer edge of the driver's side blade.

I've since returned to OEM and have been happy with cost and performance. If these don't last I'll probably try the $5 Anco's next...

Silblades. A little pricy, but the best I've found so far.

Tried a dozen or so different sets, the Bosch always work the best for me.

I use Napa Vista Premium Wiper Blades and really like them. Top notch quality and good price.

I always use Bosch Icons, but then again I work for Bosch and get a discount...

    I do like them anyway.

Mine died last week - OEM Toyota stuff that has baked to death in about 18-19 months. Only got used during the southern Arizona "monsoon" season last year................ Just replaced them with the cheapies from O-Reilly's, I figure a yearly change is what its going to take.

What sort of material would be required to get them to last? My wife's Ford Explorer still has its OEMs and whatever the material is - they are still in great shape - and several seasons older than the Taco. Some sort of soft "silicone rubber" blade maybe? They seem a lot more pliable than the ones that worked well when we lived up in the land of snow and ice......

I've had a set of Rain-X blades on for most of the past two years in Central Florida. Still happy with this set. I also recently had a 148K windshield replaced after an I-95 rock put a crack in it. I wash the windshield with Rain-X window cleaner that came in a christmas gift car care package. Plenty of rain here, not so much ice and snow.
