Wiper Fluid Deflected

    My mystery is solved. The cowling was in properly but the wiper fluid hose was kinked when the hood was closed, which the Safelite tech said their guy had likely caused, since nobody ever touches those. He unkinked it and it worked perfectly. It worked well with the hood open and closed. I still feel like others I've seen looked like they had bigger gaps, but maybe not. I didn't measure the other Taco.

    So the problem has been back for a while but I was too lazy to post about it.
    Does something look wrong in the hose routing? I can tell that the hose is kind of squooshed and am wondering if it just needs to be replaced, turned 90 degrees so it is less likely to be pinched... It's getting really annoying not being able to properly clean the windshield. Any help appreciated!

    This is the seal that is pinching the hose. Thought of cutting a space for the hose to run through but I'm not sure what the point of this seal is. Would that cause any other issue?
