I have had my truck for 3 and a half years and I still have the factory wiper blades on. Not quite as good as they used to be, but they still get the job done.

one neat thing i learned about the wipers is that if you buy off brand toyota wipers from the toyota dealer, they actually come with toyota emblems printed on them.

3 years on my original wipers and still going strong, can’t believe how much better these have performed compared to aftermarket units that seem to last 6 months. Your results may vary.

Do you ever clean your wiper blades? Ive been doing that on all my vehicles and my wiper blades last for years.

If you dont clean them, they collect soil. Layer of soil is a abrasive so it wears out your wipers quicker. Also if they are dirty, obviously they wont clean properly.

I usually clean them everytine i wash my truck, which is once a week.

    Good luck!

Anyone use the cut-to-fit wiper blade inserts?

I liked the OEM the best.

Might be the springs in the arms are weak in your case. Might need to replace the arms or make an adjustment.

Thanks folks... I have to admit, I haven't actually checked the arms, and it's possible that they could be damaged, or mis-aligned in some way. Other than that, I guess I'll back and try OEM.

Sounds about right. The owner's manual and most wiper packaging state to replace every 6 months.

I use Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash as a drying aid after I was my truck everytime. I dry the glass with it and a clean microfiber towel each time also. I rarely use my windshield wipers.

I tried them from an EBAY seller I had high hopes but they really didn't pan out too good, when you cut theres only one set of those lock nub holes and the metal pieces start to slide out it gets to be a pain, I bought a set of DENSO designer hybrid blades off rockauto the rubber is the NWB company which is or was Toyota oem rubber supplier, Japan

Some blades used to come with little alcohol-soaked pads to toss in the glove box to "refresh" them in 6 mo.....I've always cleaned mine once in a while with an alcohol soaked paper towel and they last a good while

I've also had the OP's problem with a replacement windshield on my 2and gen. There was a defective flat spot in the glass and even new blades left an area untouched. So yeah, there are bad windshields, least aftermarket ones.....but mine was so bad you could see it

Just replace mine for the first time after nearly 4 years 25,000 miles. Went with Bosch replacements, no problems with either.

The Toyota OEM refills for the stock frames are not only the best quality, also the best value where I live.

Toyota sources a quality blade. Same with their branded wiper fluid. Less expensive and higher quality than the parts store Jazz.

The link you provided is for the left blade rubber. Here is the right side blade rubber which is the link below. You are welcome. :)
