Wireing lights in

    Rear frame weld a lot
    I was junkyard shopping and found a map light and rear view mirror unit my base model has obviously just a mirror I took the wire down a good ways so I have about 3 maybe 4 ft of the wire I didn't see how it was wired under the hood can someone help me with wireing it the right way

    Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    The wire was attached to the new mirror with the map lights correct?

    Just how do you need this light to work??

    It is tied into the dome light circuit and grounds through the screws that attach it to the truck.

    The wire from the dome light is controlled by the door switches and the switch at the light

    your new light are also controlled by the door switches and switches at the light.

    It is wired through the Cab ECU or integration relay depending what year truck you have same thing just different names.

    time to break out the meter check how the switches work

    this is from memory it should be close enough to get you started.
