Wireless CarPlay

Hey guys I’ve been looking online for a solution to my CarPlay. I hate that the cord is all over the place has anyone used one of the dongles I believe their called off Amazon? Thanks

 

I have the carlinkit2 in my glove box. I took the media switch out and moved the guts to the glove box. All works flawlessly.

 

And put the shell of the media input back in and just closed the lid on it.

 

Right on. I was thinking to just get some Velcro and stick it to the top of the cubby under the dash. How difficult was it to change that wiring around?

 

Take the radio surround off and take the climate control section out. Reach down and pop out the switch and go from there.

I have a glove box organizer and it’s stuck in the with velcro

 

I got the carlinkit device mentioned earlier and stuck it up under the switch panel. I still have a short usb cord connecting it but it doesn’t get in the way.

 

I have been looking at the carlinkit off Amazon. Do you guys remember which version you have and how is the connection? Thanks.

 

I was looking at a few devices today. Which version did you buy and how do you like it?

That’s the way I was thinking of doing it seemed the easiest since it’s a very thin unit. But that glove box mount is clean as hell ahaha.

 

Wasn’t too difficult to pop the usb out and re route it?

How has the carlinkit worked out fot you guys? I see they have a 3.0 version now. Deciding between the carlinkit 3.0 or Cplay2air

 

Love mine and it has been glitch free

 

I got carlink 3 for my wife and she says it works great.

 

They claim at the link below that 2.0 and 3.0 are the same hardware with just a new software update. So either should be fine.
