Not sure if this has been asked but I'm guessing you can't use the user interaction is all through ht he phone screen and you can't press icons, pinch to zoom etc. by touching the Tacoma head unit screen.

This looks to be pretty nifty. Would like to know more about it. Does it mirror anything on your phone? Does it mess up anything on the trucks systems like USB input to radio or anything else? What is the products brand name?

 

There are a few mentioned in the previous pages Crux a Beatsonic. Quick search on Amazon will find them. For the Crux use, it only works with Entune radios via cable. You need the crux setup plus the hdmi adapter for the iphone for example. Android you would need something else but it needs to convert to a HDMI cable.

Estimate $140-$150 + $30 or so for the apple specific (you can get knock off versions).

The beatsonic sounds like a nice idea if you can get it wireless.

 

I just finally installed my beatsonic last weekend, works pretty well. Watched netflix while at the airport waiting to pick someone up. Was quite impressed with it.
Iphone if that matters.

Was there any lag from audio to video streaming through wifi? I'm dying to get one of these but idk if it's worth it!

 

Mine is not wireless, or did not use a chromecast etc. I ran an hdmi cord from the converter to my centre console. No lag with this setup, actually sounds cleaner than when plugged into the usb or bluetooth.

If someone has the money to invest in an experiment, they have an Android Add-on box for the Entune Radios, but only for the Tundra radio. Not sure if it would fit ours, and it's over in Europe...

Would love full android phone control on my ENTUNE deck.

 

So to be sure, you like this one over the beat sonic? And what one is it for 2017 entune?
