Was installing lights last night and found 2 slots on my switch panel to have wires attached to them. Any ideas what they can be for? There's no switch but just covers.

Thanks for answering me second question also . I assume I can unplug the wires from the covers and use the slots for other switches.

Of course you can. You also "might" have an ACC source and switch illumination source.

The one next to it, DO NOT MESS the green with black runner wire in connector.

Remove the other blanks, see what's behind.

Green and Green+White cables are the switch illumination source. If your switches illuminate you can use these cables to power them.

So you don't cut the connector, if you're going to use the illumination wires and ground.
