Just a quick question I got 6 18w led pods I want to wire on one carling switch how would I wire that? Do I need relays? Any ideas on how to wire it? Thanks

Wire in parallel, just attach the grounds to the body. With LED's you should be fine running through the switch. The relay is the preferable route for most lighting, but at 5-6amps (72w at 12-14.4v) you're well withing what a basic switch can handle.

Okay what gauge should the wire be when all the wires meet to one wire to the switch?

18 watts x 6 = 108 watts. 108/13 volts= 8.3 amps. I would not run 9 amps through a switch in the cab. Use a relay mounted under the hood.

Highly recommend a relay. Wiring to the switch is more simple and you can keep the higher gauge wire between the relay and the lights. When I get home today, I'll post the block diagram wiring schematic I made for my two light setup. You'd do the same but with 6 lights in parallel.

18 w light isn't a lot of power. Each parallel branch will be running 1.5A. Depending on how you split the nodes, your max current is only 9A. 12 gauge wire is rated to 9.3A. You can go with 10 gauge to be safe, but only if you are having all lights branch from a single line (6*1.5A)

Always match your ground gauge to the hot gauge.

Yep, 6 lights is 108w. I did the math on 4 for some reason. So between 9 and 7.5a (12v-14.4v) Most switches (read the package) are 20a or better. Still within safe for the switch, still a better option with a relay.

here's how i wired my BlitzPro Rocker Switch to my Off-Road lights. I put the switch in one of my dash switch blanks. There was an OEM female connector behind the blank that is used for a TRD Sport switch (i have an TRD OR). I used that connector's illumination wires to illuminate the rocker switch.
