You could pick up a 2 way female trailer plug and then run one neg and pos to the battery along frame rail. Wire one end of plug to your pump and the other to battery. Quick connect when pump is wanted and disconnect when not get it with wnd covers. then you dont have to deal with a switch/relay. Also add a inline fuse close to battery.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
You don’t need to remove. Just get one that can run dry and will self prime. Then you run it dry in winter.

Yes, if you search LED bed lights from mattgecko you will find the wire diagram. Real easy. Fwiw, you dont need to add a waterproof switch if you don’t want, you could add a cig lighter or any other 12v connector you would like. To be clear, the permenant/non permanent is the wiring is seperate from the OEM wiring. Its permenant but can be removed so no damage to the truck whatsoever. Also the inline fuse and relay can be mounted under the hood. Those parts are under $20 four everything.

I always try to go one gauge larger than what I’m connecting but at least the same size as in the pump.

It depends on the amperage of the pump and the guage and length of wire:

Maximum current - amps - through a 12V circuit - related to size (AWG) and length of wire
    Length (feet)/#AWG Guage/Maximum Current (amps)
    15 16 10
    20 14 10
    25 14 8

That should be ok- looks like a nice pump (45psi at 3.5gpm is like a pretty strong house shower and should spray sand off pretty well)- that pump’s specs say 1.2 max amps @ 120v- so using the formula watts= amps x volts, you will be drawing watts = 1.2A × 120V = 144W from the truck’s inverter (with engine running it will handle up to 400w)
