wiring elocker w/ 4wd computer & dash switch

    The Bed is stock...ish

    You need a relay, you have to be able to switch polarity on the engine. Using a normal switch won't work.

    Yeah sorry i left out needing a relay in there. It was mentioned by someone earlier on in the thread though.

    And i should have been more elaborate when explaining things. When i said a normal switch i didnt mean a simple ole on off switch (comatized99) i was more meaning that having.to use the oem switch wasnt necessary if one wasnt readily available. A switch like one that would power a winch from inside the cab like some guys do these days for example would be needed. I forget the abbreviation for that type of switch, drawing a blank....oh duh, a dpdt switch right, i believe thats the switch they would use? Like the relay, since power will be needed to engage AND disengage, not just on and off.... im no electrical wizard but have an understanding of simple stuff and i know needing all that oem stuff surly isnt necessary.

    He ordered the dpdt relay and thanks for the diagram, he'll wire it up and let me know....
