Ryan DCFS, how many pins does the 3 position toggle switch need to have for that set up?

Three minimum... But it could be more depending on the nature of the switch. The number of pins is irrelevant if the action of the switch isn't correct (spdt, dpdt would work) the important part is that it's double throw.

Hey folks. Will this switch work for an "always on-always off-on with reverse lights"?

Thanks anyway, already done. Worked like a charm.

What do you guys think of this? My goal is to be able to use my aux reverse lights as camp lights (switch mounted in the bed for easy on and off when cooking on the tailgate), and to have them come on with the reverse lights (but be able to switch this off from the cab for when I'm doing city driving).

This is the other option I came up with. It would allow me to turn on the lights from the bed even if I left the switch in the cab off. Would this work as well?IMG_9647.jpg

Not sure which post you are replying too, but a lot of posts wanted the ability to trigger via reverse as well as via a switch. That way they can use them for camping as well as automatically for reverse. So just splicing into the reverse lights doesn't work in that case. As well as the fact that depending on the amperage draw it isn't the best solution because the wire/fuse might not be rated if the new lights are powerful.

I had my baja design lights (in my aftermarket rear bumper) automatically trigger with reverse and had about 5 people stop me in broad daylight (over the course of an hour or two) saying my lights were way too bright. Now they are full time switch controlled.

You could use a DPDT On/Off/On switch to do that. Up for on, neutral for off, down for on with reverse wired to the back up lights.

Thought about that route but went the Spod route instead. Click of a button on the app or asa and I can turn groups of lights on at once. Pair that with assigning lights to multiplegmultiple (camp, drive, etc) and it solved all my problems and then some.

Yeah, I went the SwitchPro route. One of the few gripes is that on/off/on is not supported.

Does the switch pro not have an additional input terminal block? I use the extra inputs along with the app and Spod switch panel. I can tie a thermostat or other sensors to the input terminal to activate circuits. I.e. you could splice in the reverse signal to activate the circuit.

Hey man, hope you all are safe and well . New to the forum and have been trying to follow your post in trying to wire my backup camera with a switch following your diagram but no dice. I have it working with a normal switch however my reverse lights keep coming on and making the vehicles computer think I’m in reverse giving me a check engine light. I tried using a diode between with the reverse lights and switch on two legs and the reverse trigger wire on the banded end but still no go. No extra lights or anything just a simple switch to override and not have to go in reverse.

thank you for all of the useful information you’ve posted thus far

I don't mean to hijack the thread but i'm doing an identical install this weekend. Got a pair of Rigid Midnight diffused flush mounts in the bumper and i'm looking to do a spdt switch.
I have the dual lead harness that came with them that I want to utilize but to my surprise, it came unprotected and without a relay. So I ordered a new dual lead harness off Amazon with a relay but now i'm realizing I need extra wires to do this install with on-off-on functions.
How exactly should I go about this install now?
Since the harness is only power and ground for each light, I assume I should grab some extra wire to attach to relay, switch etc.?
    So my plan..
Run the harness as normal from battery to rear bumper but I'd like to tap into the reverse wire that is in the bottom left foot well of drivers side. I believe Terminal 1, red wire with a white stripe in connector ID2 as stated in the "How do I find my Reverse Signal Wire" Thread.
Can I just tap into this wire with a T tap and follow the above diagrams as in post #77?

I'm looking to find the same.
I've been on the OTR site as well as others trying to find one. I believe I've seen one while reading through random threads but I can't find it.
