I recently purchased an overlay from ADD W1 for my 2013 Toyota Tacoma and I’m having issues installing it. Everything’s installed but the issue I’m encountering is that the instructions state to splice into the parking lights. I just started working on the car. I’ve found many diagrams for wiring but I’m having an issue finding the one I need since I am new to all of this. Does anybody have any advice or know where the specific parking light wire is? I have a positive and a ground, that’s all I have to connect. Thank y’all very much.

I was thinking about doing that but I can’t tell what the ground is. It has no actual black wires. I’ll have to find out what the ground is on the dimmer switch. Thanks!!

Aux back up lights, Bed lights, Re-located trailer plug, Good dooby, a.k.a. jumper cable mod, Heated seats, back up camera,
White with a black stripe is usually ground. Verify that with a meter though.

From the rheostat, green is power for the illumination and green/white is ground for the illumination. The rheostat is grounded then as you turn the dial, resistance to ground is changed, dimming the lights.

Picture below: red arrow is positive, black arrow is ground (for dimmable lighting only).

So would it be worth it to dimmer or try another location. Thank you!

Depends on how bright the overlay is or if you want it to be dimmable. If you want it to come on with the parking lights, just tap into the green wire shown above and just use a bolt behind the dash for ground.
